The Young Model Discovery (YMD) is an online model search with proceeds in aid of the Childhood Cancer Support Charity, a charity we have been supporting for over 15 years.

The Tamblyn Young Model Discovery is now in its 32nd year!

The YMD has discovered, developed and managed many models during this time. Past entrants and Tamblyn Management Models include Two Miss Universe Australia winners Rachel Finch and Jesinta Campbell, International Models Nick Truelove, Kendal Schuler, Izzy Jarrett, JOI Riggall, Gemma Scott, Josephine Olton, Alieda Ross, Ivy Mae, Charlotte Ross, Emmy Tyrie, Nikita Russ and local stars in their own right Savannah Foran McDaniels, Piper, Laina Eady, Annika Dixon, Summer Hicks, Kiana Howitt and Summah Janssen. The list goes on and on…Not to forget our 2019 winners Zakiah, Sophie Morrison, Aisha Barry, Mikayla Callow, Jovana, Phoebe Douglas, Sophie Grant, Allegra , Lola Latham, Indy Renyard and Koa Lyons

The YMD is open to Male and Female entrants residing in QLD, Australia, across 4 divisions

Tiny Tots: Ages 4 - 6 years

Kids: 7 - 9 years

Tween: 10 - 12 years

Teen: 13 - 15 years

Applications will be accepted online until Sunday 20th June 2021 at 5pm. Applicants are required to submit 2 - 4 Images via the online application form along with the minimum Entry Fee $25 (plus processing fees).
Entry fee is in aid of the Childhood Cancer Support Charity

Applicants have the opportunity to enter into the following entry Categories:

YMD Entry - $25

YMD Entry + Photographic - Entry Fee $45

YMD Entry + Photographic + TV/Film - Entry Fee $65

JUDGING DAY

Judging day is held at Tamblyn Management Agency, Level 4, 131 Leichhardt Street, Spring Hill on the date listed below. Once your application has been received you will be automatically sent an email to book in your chosen Judging date and time. Estimated judging duration varies from 40mins - 2hours depending on number of entrants and waiting time. Parent is to remain with entrant at all times. Due to available space only 1 parent or guardian is permitted to accompany the Applicant to the premises.

Tiny Tots Judging - 26th June 2021 - 9.00am or 10.00am
(Ages: 4 - 6 years on or before 10th December 2020 )

Kids Judging - 26th June 2021 - 1.00pm or 2.00pm
(Ages: 7 - 9 years on or before 10th December 2020)

Tween Judging - 27th June 2021 - 9.00am or 10.00am
(Ages: 10 - 12 years on or before 10th December 2020)

Teen Judging - 27th June 2021 - 1.00pm or 2.00pm
(Ages: 13 - 15 years on or before 10th December 2020)

Applicants will meet before the judges panel on the Judging day held at Tamblyn Management Office. If the applicant has selected to enter into the TV/Film Judging and/or Photographic Judging on top of the basic YMD entry, the Applicant will partake in the judging process for all those individual Judging divisions on the day as well as the standard YMD entry Judging. 3 times the chances!!

In each category (Tiny Tot, Kids, Tween and Teen) 24 Grand Finalists will be selected to continue to the Grand Final Event held on Sunday 11th July 2021, at a location in Brisbane (yet to be finalised)

Applicants will be notified by email on 29th June 2021 to advise if they were selected as a Grand Finalist

Applicants should be fully aware of required dates to be available prior to entering. Requirements of entry and Key Judging Dates and Times are listed below:

YMD JUDGING PHOTOSHOOT

Once the Applicant has been selected as a Grand Finalist you will be sent a link to book in for your Grand Final Judging Photoshoot with Official YMD Photographer Warren Jopson. All Grand Finalist are required to participate in the Judging Photoshoot.

Your personalised time slot duration will be approximately 30mins - 1hr duration. You can choose your time slot between the following hours: 9 - 3pm

Friday 2nd July, Saturday 3rd July & Sunday 4th July

Tiny Tots and Kids: - $55 Fee (charged at cost price) Includes Photography Sitting and 1 edited 5x7 Digital Print

Tween and Teens: - $71.50 Fee (charged at cost price) Includes Hair and Makeup, Photography sitting and 1 edited 5x7 Digital Print

Optional: The Applicant will have the opportunity to buy other images should they desire, at a special package rate directly with Official YMD photographer Warren Jopson.

GRAND FINAL EVENT

3 Grand Finalists (1 YMD winner, 1 Photographic Winner and 1 TVC winner) will be selected from each division at the Grand Final Event, Sunday 11th July 2021, at a venue yet to be announced.

Ticket Price $49 inc GST, plus processing fees. ** Please note: this is the estimated ticket price, subject to change pending finalised Venue. Please know it will be similar to the pricing listed, estimated between $45 - $55 a ticket. The finalised price will be updated very shortly.

To assist the CHILDHOOD CANCER SUPPORT CHARITY raise much needed funds we need to ensure the venue and catering expenditure is covered and does not effect the funds the charity receives, to achieve this it is a requirement of entry that a minimum of 2 tickets be purchased by each Grand Finalist. Remember every ticket purchased helps benefit the charity and the wonderful work they do helping families of children affected with cancer, our reason for holding the event. We Thank you for your support in our endeavours to help the charity.

To enter the Applicant is required to select your division age group, complete the online entry form, submit your 2- 4 snap shot images, & select the drop down entry option ( Either YMD ENTRY $25 , YMD Entry + Photographic Entry $45 or YMD Entry + Photographic + TV/Film Entry $65 Entry Fee ) to process your entry

• The non refundable entry fee is to accompany your registration on line.

• Tamblyn Young Model Discovery reserves the right to change date/s, location and logistics. No refunds are permitted If entrant can not attend new date/s. Entrant may however have the opportunity to be judged via zoom appointment.

• Proceeds are in aid of the Childhood Cancer Support Charity

• The entrant must use his/her correct age as of 10/12/20.

• All entrants who are currently represented or managed by another Talent/Model Agent, must ensure they are legally in the position to be able to enter and must ensure they have the legal right to cancel any pre existing contracts with existing manager/agent BEFORE entering the YMD. Any Tamblyn signed talent/models are permitted to enter.

• All entrants and Grand Finalists under the age of 18 years require the consent of their legal guardian.

• All Grand finalists forms and agreements required for the competition must be signed by the entrant and or legal guardian.

• Its understood, by entering all entrants automatically agree to waiver their image to appear in Social Media pages, Tamblyn Website and press related to the Young Model Discovery and Tamblyn Management

• If you are chosen as a Grand Finalist and accept the position in the model search; as part of the competition, you understand and agree you are required to partake in the Professional Photographic Judging Photoshoot Sitting, charged to you at photographers cost price Tiny Tots and Kids Division $55 . Tween and Teen division is $71.50 and Includes professional Hair and Makeup. All Grand Finalists entrants will receive a complimentary 5x7 edited digital photo.

• If you are chosen as a Grand Finalist and accept the position in the model search; as part of the competition you understand and agree you will be available for the Grand Final rehearsal and event/show on Sunday 11th July 2021, or forfeit your position in the model search. Tamblyn hold the right to change the date, venue and ticket price, should any changes need to be made that are out of our control and at Tamblyn discretion. The Grand Finale ticket price for guests attending the event ie: parents and or friends will be approximately $49 per ticket plus small processing fee, it is a requirement of entry a minimum of two tickets are purchased by the Grand Finalist (proceeds in aid of the Childhood Cancer Support Charity)

• All Grand Finalists are to be available throughout the competition and 12 months thereafter for any promotional publicity shoots involving the media and give permission for the media and Tamblyn Models to use your image/likeness for any publicity regarding Tamblyn Models, Childhood Cancer Support and the Young Model Discovery, including social media.

• I accept the condition that should I win one of the 3 winning categories in each division of the Tamblyn 2020 Young Model Discovery Grand Final, I agree to be represented with Tamblyn Management on an exclusive basis for a period of two (2) years from the date of 11th July 2021 and sign a 2 year management contract with Tamblyn Management, or waive all  benefits, prizes, goods, vouchers or awards received as a direct result of being a contestant in the contest and will reimburse immediately, the reasonable value of any used or opened prizes, goods , vouchers or awards damaged by me, should any or all of the following occur:

  1. (i)  I change to, are listed or managed with/by another Model/Talent Agency or Management within 2 years of the Grand Final Date of the contest, 11th July 2021; or signed termed contract, which ever is the later.

  2. (ii)  I no longer wish to honour my obligations as a result of winning any category of the contest.

  3. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
